November 2011

Just so everyone doesn't believe I fell off the face of the earth, I am going to do a very quick blog post.

These past couple of months I have dedicated every free moment to building my etsy business. I hope and pray that my hard work will pay off this holiday season. I am just trying to do anything I can, to help bring in some extra moolah. So in addition to my etsy shop I took the plunge to become a Stampin' Up rep. I don't plan on hosting workshops in the traditional way, but use this business to sell cards, and party packs probably on etsy. I also plan on doing card classes, and digital scrapbook classes. (All after my holiday rush is over on my CURRENT etsy shop) As part of signing up to be a Stampin' Up rep, you get a starter kit. A HUGE box of supplies.
But look what I got instead.......

Poor girl.... With Ashley gone at school and me sewing non-stop she is pretty good at finding interesting ways of entertaining herself. I thank goodness every day that Ellie is so easily entertained. Every so often she gets clingy and needs some mommy time, so we take a trip to the "grass station" (gas station) to get a drink and a snack, and that always seems to give her what she needs. I am so thankful for this little girl. She brings a smile to my face everyday. I am glad we get to have this year. Just to two of us. Everyday. Alone. At least until 3pm when we go get Ash from school.

I also get the great privilege of teaching her preschool class. This last go around I taught about ocean's.

We charted goldfish before we ate them:

We made octopus tentacles out of fruit loops:

And we pretended to be sea creatures; I believe she is a creeping crab:

We did lots more fun stuff, but my camera lost battery power. But you get the idea. We have six kids in our preschool this year. 3 girls and 3 boys. It's a perfect mix I think!

The girls also got the great opportunity to attend my niece Emma's very girly princess party.  She turned 7 this year, which is crazy for me,because she was born 3 days after Ryan and I were married. I remember being on our honeymoon, and calling every couple of hours to get updates on Tara's progress. We were so anxious to get back and meet this beautiful little girl. She has been such a blessing in our lives. My girls have a built in best friend for life!
And here is a picture of all the girls in their princess dresses. Ellie now thinks she must wear a princess dress if she is to attend a party.

They each got to decorate their own cupcakes with REAL decorating tools; definitely Ashley's favorite activity:

Took a few swings at the pinata:

And decorated their own princess crowns:

Well, that's a quick update. All that I have time for. Hope everyone is having fun getting ready for the holidays. I know I sure am!
